Technical projects today combine machines, software, data and operational IT.

A plant waits for its software version, production data stays in separate systems, and new applications have to fit the existing IT. The tasks are often known, but between development, automation and operation there is a lack of time or of agreed responsibilities. A change in one trade reaches into the others. What is needed is support that takes on individual tasks and considers their consequences for the whole project.

From the Aachen technology region we support your team in development, integration and operation. A clearly bounded assignment can be the starting point, as can cooperation across several disciplines.

Software, automation and operation interlock

Controls, applications and infrastructure have to work together in a project.

We develop control software and applications, open up machine and company data and connect existing systems. Interfaces, responsibilities and test goals are agreed so that individual work packages fit together.

Commissioning, traceable documentation and the agreed operating model are part of the handover. Choose the area in which your task begins. We take the connection to neighbouring topics into account in the joint planning.

New requirements for products and data

Connected products, industrial data and AI applications fall under different European regulations. Which requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act, the Data Act or the AI Act apply has to be placed against the product, its use and the role of the company.

An incident stops the plant

Even a short interruption can ruin a whole batch.

CE requires cybersecurity

From December 2027 no connected product reaches the EU market without it.

Obligations show up late

A retrofit or the supply chain can trigger CE and NIS-2 obligations.

Energy becomes a duty

The ESPR requires energy efficiency; ISO 50001 supplies the data for it.

From that placement follow tasks for development and operation: document components, govern data access, work through vulnerabilities and settle responsibilities. We support the technical and organisational implementation and prepare traceable records.

The right tool for every project

Existing systems and test goals determine the choice of tools.

We work with the platforms of your team and agree interfaces as well as later maintenance. Our own software complements these tools where a task calls for additional functions. SimReQs connects plant models with control programs; Aurora opens up and processes industrial data streams. Their use follows the agreed project scope.

What is built today keeps working tomorrow

Tested software, maintained models and traceable data stay usable after the handover.

A simulation model can later be used for variants, rebuilds and training. Changes can first be examined on the model before they reach into the running plant.

Asset administration shells bring structured product and asset information together. Which data a product passport or the later service needs follows from the specific use case.

Documented software versions and comprehensible operating records make knowledge accessible to new team members as well. The work that follows then depends less on individual people.

The effect is considered for each project: which tests become possible earlier, which information becomes available and which tasks your team can then take on itself.

We research in consortia

With universities we work in joint projects, in the IDTA on standardising the asset administration shell. What is created there goes into our tools.

We work in partnerships

As a system integrator in the Schneider Electric Alliance programme and as a solution partner of fe.screen-sim we develop together with the manufacturers.
