Product data are scattered.
Your applications need context.

Transfer inventory and operating data into structured asset administration shells with suitable access rights.

Product information, documentation and current measured values often sit in different systems. Without a shared description, partners and applications have to establish these relationships again and again.

IQstruct Engineering delivers AAS servers, their set-up, submodels and ongoing operation. Existing information from PIM, PLM and databases is assigned and described semantically. Aurora can add dynamic data from connected sources. User rights limit access to content and functions.

Start now at no cost

In a free first conversation we clarify which properties and documents exist, which obligation applies to your product group and which submodels carry the start.

One shared description for every asset

IQstruct Engineering delivers AAS servers, their set-up, submodels and ongoing operation.

Existing information from PIM, PLM and databases is assigned and described semantically. Aurora adds dynamic data from connected industrial sources and writes them into the asset administration shell.

Concept descriptions define how properties are to be understood technically. Applications and partners thus use the same information consistently. The technical meaning and the release of existing data are agreed with the customer, and user rights limit access to content and functions.

Asset administration shell

Product data, documents and measured values in one structure

Submodels organise the product information, documents and interfaces of an asset.

Approach in the project

  1. Three people assign documents and production data of a pump to the submodels of the Asset Administration Shell at a tableAi

    1

    Record static and dynamic sources

PLM and PIM documents and production data flow into one shared source concept.

  2. An engineer creates submodels for a pump on an Asset Administration Shell server on the screenAi

    2

    Model asset administration shells

Submodels and data structures are set up on an AAS server.

  3. Two people set up an OPC UA adapter with connection settings and node selection on a monitorAi

    3

    Configure Aurora

Adapters and data flow are set up in Aurora without programming.

  4. Two women read the digital product passport of a pump with documents and production data on the screenAi

    4

    Use the digital product passport

Product information, documents and assigned production data appear in one view.

Asset Interface Description

The description of the interfaces through which an asset delivers data.

Asset Interface Mapping Configuration

The assignment of the interfaces to the data structure of the asset administration shell.

Research

Asset administration shells in the research project Fluid 4.0

IQstruct Engineering is a consortium partner in the research project Fluid 4.0.

The project investigates the structured exchange of information in fluid power technology via asset administration shells and a shared data space. In the research project HYRESS, IQstruct Engineering also captures production data and documents in asset administration shells on an AAS server it operates itself.

Frequently asked questions

We are glad to answer your detailed questions in a personal conversation.

Does an AAS server alone meet all product passport requirements?

The requirements of a digital product passport are assigned per product and project. The AAS server is one building block for this.

Who defines the meaning of the data?

Concept descriptions map the semantics. We define the customer-specific meaning together with you and have it released.

Does IQstruct Engineering also operate the servers?

Yes. IQstruct Engineering sets up the servers at the customer's site, operates them and provides support during operation.
