AiDataSynch4BaSys
DataSynch4BaSys acquires machine, operating and process data with edge devices, cycle accurate and time synchronous, and assigns it to single process steps. The data lies in asset administration shells and is ready for Industry 4.0 manufacturing processes.
What it is about
IoT devices already acquire production data locally, prepare it and buffer it. Often, though, this does not happen in step with the monitored processes. Data from different sources can then hardly be combined, for example to form virtual sensors or to determine the energy use of a production batch. Because gapless production data matters in many areas as much as the quality of the products, acquisition must withstand lost connections and device failures. Buffers and replicas take over the tasks of a failed device.
Our contribution
Together with the partners we designed the solution for synchronous acquisition and integrated it into our Industrial IoT platform. It connects controllers from Siemens and Beckhoff via Profinet, EtherCAT, ISO-on-TCP, Profibus and Modbus, OPC UA as client and server, and cloud storage in Azure and AWS. The solution is built on standard components so that it can be transferred to new fields of application.
What comes out of it
At the application partner August Lücking, energy data from the grid connection, transformers, photovoltaics and combined heat and power plant is joined with the production data. The energy use thus relates to the batch produced. The acquisition is available in our platform today and is the basis of our services for data acquisition and energy data.
